4 years ago I felt a shell of myself, mind body and spirit. I made the best decision ever to switch to a DO who practices functional medicine, and found Dr. Lechner and Shine Functional Health. As of this morning, 40 lbs lighter but best part is working on better overall health outside of just the scale. The entire team cares about seeing you thrive.

I have been working with Dr. Lechner and her staff for 4 years in order to improve my health. Three of my family members also work with her. Dr. Lechner was highly recommended to me by another functional medicine physician that my daughter previously worked with. I very much wanted to see a physician that also followed functional medicine protocol as it was/is important to me not to just solve my current health issues but to figure out how to have the least amount of issues as possible in the future. Her ability to listen, document, plan and implement the best course of action is what keeps me coming back. I have never had a doctor that spent so much time with me while asking question after question in order to figure out the root cause of a problem. It is how all medical practices should work!

Dr. Lechner has been a saving grace for our family. My son was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 2018. Conventional medicine was just not asking right questions or concerned at all for the root cause of his disease. They treated my son like another kid in an assembly line, so we searched for a doctor that specializes in using Functional Medicine as approach to treat disease. We found Dr. Lechner and based on the detailed information we provided prior to our first consultation, she already had plan at our first visit! She listened to all of our concerns, answered every question and was so kind to our son. By the time we left our first visit we felt like we could breathe a little easier and knew were in good hands. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her specialty and we were very impressed with the comprehensive testing ordered to provide the insight she needed to tailor a plan specifically for my son. She has also been the most caring, compassionate, empathetic doctor we have ever encountered which is why I am now a Functional Medicine patient of hers and she is my husband’s primary doctor as well!
