Potawatomi Campground

Great place to camp. Really friendly hosts, pretty clean bathrooms, good campsites with space and busses in between, moaned...well maintained. Nice, amazing bike trail next to all camp sites there!!
Park has also many places to hang out, have a picnic or be alone...or fish. I love it 😍

Beautiful campground!! Nice and quiet, dark at night without campers who needlessly leave their lights on water going to bed. The spots are far enough apart that you feel you have privacy. Well maintained. Perfect!!

The host was great. The campground was spacious, shaded, clean and quite. Electricity outlets were by each site. The grills were functional and I liked their design. The shower building was clean and looked spacious but I was there on a not busy week day. One thing I didn't like was there were no hooks in the washing room. A few hooks would be helpful to hang a towel, a little toilette bag or a piece of clothing. Just imagine putting any of those on a wet floor or a sink top.

Beautiful campground with mature trees which provide plenty of shade and privacy! Nice and quiet. Electric only. (Fresh water and dump station available at entrance). Plenty of awesome paved trails. Large campsites. Nice bathhouse available, as well as several pit toilets.
Easy access to town (groceries, gas, restaurants).
I recommend this one for sure!

Great for a nearby quick camping experience for a night or weekend if you live in the Chicagoland area. This was our quick camp trip/ trial to make sure we had all the supplies we needed before we go to a farther trip later this summer. We stayed for 2 nights but some campers came for just one night. The park is huge and good for picnics, sports, hiking, dog trails. Each campsite has electricity hook up for campers and a lifted grill pit, no fire pits, so you are limited to how big the fire can be. The campsites are laid with gravel making it good for cars and campers when it’s muddy but some have limited grass for tents. The bathrooms are well kept and clean. There are lots of ADA accessible campsites that are paved, not gravel- those are all closer to the bathrooms. There are also water spigots between campsites.
