    As for the trail, it was really nice and calming. Crushed limestone, not too bad to walk on.

    This is a great spot to take your dogs (or horses) or park to access the trails. There are places to sit and eat your lunch or rest, and it does provide equestrian parking for the Wauponsee Glacial Trail. Younger children may get bored rather quickly though, and there are only two sections that provide shade. The surrounding trails are great for biking or walking, but watch for snakes and the occasional flooded spot.

    Deluxe ,top of the line,incredibly equipped with all the bells and whistles. Dog park. New asphalt road/parking lot. Modern roomy bathrooms with hand sanitizer! Expansive view. Access to Waupansee trail. Big pavillion. Fancy benches. Artistic signage. This preserve puts LaSalle county to shame. This place must have cost a fortune. The water fountains are designed for adult and children.

    Dog park and horse access, need daily permit at $10 or yearly at $40 although it is doubtful that forest service would show up. This is will county. About 2 mile east of state rt 102/water street.
    If your not here for dog park then access is free. There is equine trailer parking here too. There is access to the glacial trail that can take you all the way to Chicago. The local part of the trail is pedestrian, equine and bicycle.

    Dog park is split up into 3 segments for different sized dogs, and it's very nice! There's a drinking fountain for you and your pup, and shaded benches to sit on while they play.
