Not a bad place to visit. Fun to see multiple beaver lodges and gnawed trees. Trails are pretty wide as others have said but lots of goose poo on the trail around the main pond. I k own there is supposed to be a fishing pier but I didn't see it, perhaps I just wasn't looking hard enough... does have 1 small bathroom, lots of parking for trailers which seemed a little strange. Only one handicap reserved space also strange. Overall, beautiful place with lots of pond like areas.
Greening up nicely. Lots of wildlife. Trails well maintained.
This is an open-area Preserve with a nice fishing pond, great parking, and an actual washroom.
The preserve is part of the Des Plaines River Trail, and is mainly a connector between the Wadsworth Savanna to the north, and the remainder of the DPRT to the south.
This is a place that could use a tunnel under the main road ( Wadsworth ) for obvious safety reasons.
It awesome because beaver live there and I got to see how there home look from the top.
