Marathon Fitness of Sycamore

Best priced gym in the area for general fitness. I've explored all other gyms in the Dekalb Sycamore area and as a fitness competitor Marathon gets the job done. They're a couple good pieces of equipment away from being a complete package. A few more sets of dumbbells and a hack squat (which apparently nobody in Dekalb or Sycamore has) and this will be the best gym at the best price in town!

I started lifting here 12 years ago and I've never looked back. This place has so many extremely useful pieces of equipment that a lot of other gyms don't have. It had enough to get me in good enough shape to compete in bodybuilding shows and actually belong up on the stage. Also, the prices are really fair. No matter what changes here, I still see some of the same, great faces I've been seeing for years. I just visited again and worked out here for that time. I'll do the same whenever I'm back. I love this gym.

I have been coming to charter on/off for a couple years now. I will say, the new manager has done a absolutely great job giving the gym a makeover. It's much cleaner, the new layout rocks and the free weight section is the best! Whenever I have no idea what I am doing with a machine, Dom and Steve are always there to answer my questions and give me advice. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. The atmosphere there is always positive, and has fun music playing. Charter in sycamore is by far one of my favorite places to be! Great job guys!

I am a new member and so far, I am thrilled. The facility and the locker rooms are clean. I never have to wait for a machine, or a shower. But I think the best thing about this gym is the staff. EMILY who works the front desk has been so kind and supportive. She is huge asset and has made me feel much more comfortable and helped me whenever I have asked.

If you are reading these reviews and you see some negative ones, remember, the membership to this gym is just $10 a month or $20 with unlimited classes. I am not sure what level of support people expect with that sort of fee structure, but I am very happy with the help I have gotten whenever I have asked for it.

Fantastic bargain for the price, great staff, clean space with lots of machines. Well worth the money.
