Grassi Retina

Grassi Retina was truly an amazing experience. The nurses and my intern Shannon did a fantastic job with all the tests and explanations for everything along the way. Dr. Grassi was very thorough in his diagnosis and again explained everything in high detail regarding my upcoming treatments. It truly a pleasure to have found out about Grassi Retina and I am fortunate to them for finding me a quick appointment.
I would definitely recommend them!

This is my second time going to Grassi Retina and I cannot recommend this office enough. I still have major anxiety going to the eye doctor and Carrie was helpful from the start. She kept assuring me over the phone that I was in great hands. My assistant was Maria and she was the absolute best at explaining everything through and making me feel extremely comfortable. The best assistant I have had in any medical office. Alem was my other assistant and he was extremely gentle and made sure I was comfortable during the rest of the process. Dr. Grassi was very calming and explained what was going on in detail and how to resolve the issue. I highly highly recommend this office, especially if you have anxiety like I do. Staff is absolutely amazing!

Dr Grassi is one of a kind! So professional and I can't imagine there is a better retinal specialist anywhere else. I had an emergency. He came in on his day off to evaluate and do surgery to repair ,my retina. At noon I was at the optometrist, and by 730pm I had been sent to Dr Grassi who had done a complete repair and I was on my home. My sight is good and I am one happy patient!!

Hands down, the best medical experience I have ever had. From initial contact through my time with Dr. Grassi, everyone was kind, compassionate, professional, and knowledgeable. I was so impressed with the staff that I asked how Dr. Grassi finds such great employees. They are all college graduates taking a gap year before going to medical school. No wonder they are so effective at their jobs.

After having extensive tests that no other ophthalmologist has ever done, I met with Dr. Grassi. He was very reassuring and educated me on what's going on with my eyes. As a researcher, he has the most up to date knowledge, tools, and treatment plans. I've never felt comfortable that my condition was being observed by my other ophthalmologist to the fullest possible extent, and now I can clearly see that it wasn't. I can stop worrying about the future of my eyesight and rest assured that I am in very capable hands.

Dr Grassi was so wonderful. He allayed my fears of any issues with my vision. Beautiful bedside manner, listened intently & he tries to understand the full situation, as well gave me tips & advice. It was my first time visiting his office. I was referred to him from my health provider advocate. I will continue to visit Dr. Grassi with any vision issues. I am extremely happy with the service I received from him & his staff. Very professional & kind. Very very happy.

Fond memories for our child

We sent our child to Goddard school in her Kindergarten year. She had an amazing and fulfilling experience there. The administrative staff is very supportive and always jumps in for special needs. Our daughter had some tough time settling into the room with bigger kids after school and Ms. Meghan would keep her in her office until she became more confident. Ms. Moira and Ms. Taylor are always around with a smile.

Our child's teachers in kindergarten Ms. Lisa and Ms. Tawana before her were hugely supportive. Ms. Lisa had a new project or activity every few weeks that kept our child and us hooked to what was happening in her class. Our child especially loved the 'Goddard bucks' program that taught her so much about being patient and financial management early on. And over the last few months, as a class, they read Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and The Adventures of Edward Tulane, all of which made for engaging dinner conversations.

The memories we collected here will remain with us forever.

When moving to the area, with no family or friends in the area, I was so thrilled to find a "familiar" name with Goddard. It was an easy decision to enroll my 2 year old when on our visit, she was playing with staff and other children; she seemed so at home there. After her being enrolled for almost 6 months, I know that they are wonderful. There has been turn over, yes, but I have never heard a harsh word and my daughter is learning so quickly. I know that she is great hands when I drop her off. The added security and Tadpole app usage is wonderful! I cannot imagine where we would be without the amazing staff and directors. If you are looking for wonderful child care, look no further.

This place and its staff ❤️- We have been sending our boys to Goddard since February 2016 when we had to abruptly leave our former daycare. At the time, my boys were 15 months and 3 yrs. My husband and I were very nervous about sending our kids somewhere new, but after having looked at a few other daycares, we knew this was the place. Ms.Cyndi, the director, and every single teacher, was very personable and welcoming from the beginning. We went to an open house and she took us around and had different teachers speak to us about what went on in their rooms on a typical day, and we felt like we had a good idea of what our boys would be up to while at the school.
The flexibility of the management and staff for days our boys need to come (they go three days a week but the days always change because of our work schedules) has been awesome! Cyndi has always been so accommodating to our family’s needs. Additionally, the place is so clean all the time, even when I can’t pick up my boys until closer to close! It’s amazing. This was something that definitely caught my eye.

Each day, you are sent a report of your child’s activities and what they are learning, which helps create good conversation, activities, and enrichment at home. During the day, I get sent pictures through the Tadpoles app of what my kids are working on, so that is really nice!

My older son was already reading a little when he started, and Ms. Cyndi and his new teacher took the time to evaluate his abilities to decide his proper placement so he wouldn’t be bored. Even though he was a little emotionally immature, they decided to bump him up to a pre-k class instead of preschool so he would be appropriately challenged, and wow did he flourish! He is almost 6 now (and in kindergarten) and reads books that 3rd graders do!

The school also has special events several times throughout the year, from game nights to circus themed activities, trunk or treat at Halloween, and more, with my favorite being that they hold their own science fair in the spring! My older son was able to participate last year and it was a great way for him to start being responsible for some of his own work and creativity. We picked something simple to do so he did the project by himself (for the most part) and then on the day of the fair, he was able to give a short presentation to the judges all on his own - something he became comfortable doing because talking in front of his class is part of the curriculum!

Most importantly, my kids clearly love going there every day. They are excited to see the staff and it’s clear they feel like they belong. As a teacher myself (for high school, not little ones), sometimes this profession in general can have a lot of turnover when staff is not happy, and fortunately there is not much turnover with staff, particularly the last couple of years, and that makes a world of difference in my opinion.

Now that my older son is in kindergarten, he goes to Goddard for before and after school care, which has also been great! This keeps him busy with friends and being active even after the school day is over. I know that he is safe and in a place he loves, so it’s a win-win!

I can’t imagine my kids going anywhere else. It has been a wonderful experience for them and we couldn’t be more thankful.

Our son has been attending Goddard school since he was 18 months old until recently at the age of 2 1/2. Our experience at this school has been nothing short of AMAZING! His first two teachers, Ms. Marissa & Ms. Brittney are two of the most loving, caring, patient teachers we have ever met! They made his transition to a new school flawless! At the age of two, he moved into a new classroom with Ms. Kristan & Ms. Carrie. My Husband and I will forever be grateful to these two! They helped our son transition through many changes such as switching to full day school, potty training, and even preparing him for his new role as Big Brother! They are both so compassionate, nurturing, and have such an abundant wealth of knowledge! And it is very obvious that they love their jobs! We are so amazed at how much our son has grown academically and socially since attending Goddard! We are beyond sad that we had to leave Goddard (moved out of the area) but keeping our fingers crossed that life will bring us back to the Naperville area so we can enroll our son at Goddard again, and hopefully our second son as well! Goddard school and their staff really set the bar high for top notch schools in the western suburbs!

My daughter began attending the Goddard school early 2012, as we were transitioning from a different daycare in the same area. Apprehensive at first, I was quite skeptical but was gladly proven wrong. Goddard's dedication to education, safety, learning, and structure are among the things that I love the most. The teachers are dedicated and truly know and love the children throughout the school. My daughter has thrived in this environment and I believe that the change was the right move for our family. I have and still recommend Goddard to friends and family!
