I’ve worn my natural hair in crochet styles for the last 5 years. So I’ve decided to give my hair a much needed break. Penni came through in every way imaginable. Her warm personality and her vast knowledge for hair was amazing. She made sure that I aware of what I need to do to get my health hair process going again.

LOVED THE EXPERIENCE! Pendi is prompt, professional and a MASTER COLORIST!!! I felt welcomed as soon as I walked. We discussed my hair goals and she gave me her plan of action. Baby let me tell you I havent stopped getting compliments on my hair color yet! Pendi you now have a regular client in me!!

With each and every visit to Uptown Hair Salon. I continuously received professional and timely service. The ambience is so beautiful and Upendi the owner/stylist and her team are so welcoming, friendly and such a good crowd to have any intellectual conversation with. My Saturday are sacred and whom ever I share them with MUST be of good vibes and energy. My natural hair feels like it gets silkier by the visit. If you’re looking for a place where the stylist is on time and radiants positive energy this is the place.

I’m very pleased with the prompt, professional service at UpTown salon. I stopped going to salons years ago because of the very long wait time and unpleasant atmosphere, but I’m glad to have found a salon that’s the total opposite. I gave the salon my first try when I needed someone to silk press my daughter hair and everything was perfect. So When I decided to do the big chop to my hair, Stylist Upendi came to mind after watching several of photos and videos I felt confident that she would get me right. Not only did she execute the style to perfection she made me feel confident about the new look.. For that I am Grateful!! I would definitely recommend this salon to someone else.

Uptown Salon is the south side's answer for innovation, creativity, and cutting edge hair.
The owner Upendi Madison is a craftsman in hairstyles and hair growth.
I love that she doesn't just ask how do you want your hair but how do you want to feel. Everytime I become more Fabulous.
