I came here after going to the same barber for a while. One of these expensive places where I'd get offered well whisky I didn't want and I'd have to entertain an untrained dog they kept around because it's edgy. I wasn't happy with the haircut there. It looked fine after the cut, but required a lot of maintenance: goop and comb and goop and comb. Then it grew out poorly and required lots more goop.
Jim saw me and right away said "Who did this to you?! How am I going to fix this?!" Then he groaned a lot. It was great. He worked with me, offered suggestions, we talked through options, and I left very happy. He was even happy! Best part is that the cut now makes sense for the way my hair grows. It looks better with no taming necessary. I've been going to see him ever since and have no reason to look anywhere else anymore. -

(January 12, 2019, 11:35 pm)My husband got the best haircut of his life from Mary. He’s never looked better. She trimmed his beard and his eyebrows too. I hardly recognized him. I had been wanting him to shave it off before he went there. What a difference good grooming can make!

(October 6, 2018, 10:23 am)Had three nice experiences here. No reservations taken, cash only, and light on conversation! Just a good hair cut, fast and at a nice price. One important step up in quality then the many chains near by. Not the place to go for complicated requests and would not be my choice for a kid cut.
