Mario and his team at One Coat Painters did a wonderful job.

Mario (One Coat Painters) recently finished a bunch of projects at our home and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, he was professional, reliable, and always went above and beyond to ensure that I was satisfied with his work. The first project was painting a new family room addition. Since Mario did a great job on the first project, we added a lot more to the list. He put in new tile in 2 bathrooms, painted office fireplace, removed mildew from bathroom ceiling, painted all ceilings, replaced a bathroom fan, removed a lot of old wall beadboard with trim, which required new drywall in some places, painted the bathroom cabinet, office, living, room, and the kids bedrooms.

Mario's attention to detail was impressive. He was easy to work with, responsive to my text messages, and answer any questions that I had.

Overall, I would highly recommend Mario to anyone in need of painting and handyman services. His workmanship is top-notch and he truly cares about his customers.

We recently purchased a home in Vernon Hills and top priority was to have the interior painted and have ceiling fans added in bed rooms. After doing some research and making some calls with recommendations from family members we were very fortunate to find One Coat Painters in Vernon Hills. We worked with the owner Mario and he was a true professional. We did not want to move in until we had these two projects done as the furniture would get in the way.

The other places we called all stalled and took their time getting back to us and couldn't guarantee when they could get started since it was busy season with everyone moving before new school year started. Then we were fortunate to find Mario. He called us back right away and offered to stop by that night to take a look and get us an estimate (free estimate).

Once we met Mario we right away had a great feeling he was our guy. He built a great rapport with us based on his honesty, timely communication (got us an estimate that night), understanding our situation and guaranteeing his work. Knowing that we had a tight timeline, but we had the luxury of not being moved in yet he offered to have his crew work off hours to get it done since they had multiple jobs going on at the same time. We felt so comfortable with him that we provide him our code to the garage so he could come and go without us needing to meet him each time.

Mario was so great that when we told him we were also going to install ceiling fans in the bedrooms he mentioned that he could get those done as well. For the small fee he did it for it saved me a lot of time and headache. He also told us after we moved in if there were any scratches the movers made he would be happy to stop by and touch up those areas. Do you think any of the other vendors we looked at offered that up? Absolutely not!

When he and his crew were done we couldn't believe that he came in under the price of the other vendors, but our place looked like we were on one of those Home Makeover Shows. The kicker was when we did our final walk through Mario said "Did you guys know your garbage disposal wasn't working?" I said, "Yeah, it was one of the issues we knew about and will get fixed later." He said, "Don't worry I already fixed it." What?!? How awesome is that?
