This is an awesome bakery 🧁. I happen to eat a cake at workplace brought by a colleague for an occasion. Had a chance to only get a small piece ☹️. It was so delicious and wanting more. I had to go checkout if it stands up to the same first impression. So, here I am with a sizable portion. And guys it is indeed delicious. I got 2 slices of a vanilla raspberry cake. So fluffy, melting and 😋

This place is a hidden gem! They have a wide assortment of different small pastries and cakes. They pretty much have it all. And they are DELICIOUS!!!
I got a mini chocolate mousse cake, a piece of carrot cake, a piece of devils food cake, a mini lemon tart, a mini rasberry tart in some kind of mousse, a cranberry crumble tart, and a larger rasberry tart with mango mousse.
My favorite was the mini lemon tart, both the chocolate cake and chocolate mousse and cranberry crumble.
My least favorite was the carrot cake, it was pretty dry. The other tarts weren't bad they just lacked a little flavor and sweetness in the mousse part.

I would happily drive an hour back just to try more of what they have.

We chose Oak Mill Bakery for our wedding and rehearsal cakes based on the recommendation of my husband's sister who used them 10 years ago. We were so happy with our choice. Bill was our main contact and was very helpful and patient as we spent over an hour tasting the many delicious options and discussing prices during our cake tasting. Both the rehearsal and wedding cake turned out even better than we hoped, and were absolutely delicious!

I absolutely love their cakes- cannot go wrong with them doesn’t matter what kind it is. Cakes are very light and not too sweet. Melts in your mouth. I ordered chocolate mouse and it was so good!

I am giving four star only for their customer service - they can do better.

Oak Mill Bakery has a number of beautiful wedding cakes on display at their bakery in Arlington Heights, and we started working with Bill there. The first step was to arrange a tasting. We had two of our close friends join us for a cake tasting. For an hour, we leafed through books of cake designs, and tasted various cakes and frostings. At the end we had decided on our cake design, and flavors. It was a very enjoyable experience. We ordered the cake, and provided our own topper before the wedding. The cake was absolutely beautiful, and tasted delicious. I receive numerous compliments from guests about the cake. It looked, and tasted wonderful. I recommend Oak Mill Bakery without any hesitation.
