I found this place via google maps and decided to get my haircut here since I was in town/visiting. Mr. Yang cut my hair and he was very hospitable and a great stylist. If I lived in this area, this would hands down be hair salon I go to. Highly recommend!

Mr. Yang is the best. Been coming here for the past 5years. He knows what's right for your head shape, and thinning hair. Highly recommended.

After so many terrible mall haircut experiences, I've been a loyal customer of Mr. Yang since 2010. I've followed him around before he opened Modern Hair Salon to now. I have very full but thin straight hair. I've been told by many that my hair is very difficult to style and cut but Mr. Yang does an amazing job each time so much so my mother started going to him as well. I feel bad that I waited this long to write a review for his business but better late than never.

It was my second time coming here and their services get better each time! Mrs. and Mr. Yang recognize you like a friend and provide a comfortable and fun atmosphere while getting your hair done. Not only are they super friendly, they are also very professional and dependable with haircuts and hair styling. I have very long hair down to my waist and Mrs. Yang knew exactly what I wanted to get done, which was getting a short trim to get rid of split ends and getting layers to make my hair feel lighter. Mrs. Yang was collaborative of how I wanted certain parts of my hair to be cut, so I felt respected and welcomed. The overall look and feel of my hair were exactly what I wanted and all expectations were met. I live in WI, but the long drive is worth it for me to come back again and to recommend to friends who are looking for a reliable and trendy Korean hair salon! Thank you, Mrs. and Mr. Yang!

I recently got a trim/layers similar to a wolfcut and balayage here- it was the best experience I’ve ever had! Highly recommend! I can confidently say this is the only hair salon I trust to cut and style my hair. The stylists were extremely kind, friendly and exceedingly professional. The salon itself was also kept very neat. I’m usually nervous about getting my hair cut after a few mediocre experiences, but this place blew my mind! You could tell the stylists knew exactly what they were doing, and were trimming my hair in the way you would see in celebrity hair styling compilations. I’m happy to say this is the only place I trust to get my hair cut, dyed or styled!
