(March 5, 2023, 7:59 pm)Today was the first time I’ve been to this church. I was amazed at not only the beauty of the church, but the kindness and community that has been u see my nose for 50 years. Father Derek had a homily that was vulnerable and personable and the place was impressive. Doesn’t feel dying and stodgy. Music was good but they have the gather hymnal which cost em a star… only because I am very much “not a fan” to the point where it’s become a litmus test of stodginess and I therefore wonder if the music is as good when not in lent. I wish they’d reconsider that tired ubiquitous choice because I believe music can be a key element in making a parish grow. Anyway, it’s my first time and it’s a fast favorite. I’ll be back. Plus, the 9:30am mass was a perfect time for me.

(September 12, 2022, 7:10 am)This is a little crown jewel of a church, with stunning stained glass and gorgeous mosaics. The priests present well-crafted homilies. The cantors are professional quality.The parish has a vibrant charitable activity. The school is an excellent education, and the religious instruction is improving. Mary Seat had the reputation of one of the liberal parishes in the diocese. A new pastor is changing that, beginning with opening the Church for prayer during the day and Adoration.

(November 30, 2021, 5:06 pm)Although I have lived in the neighborhood for some time, I have never been to this church. It is very homey. The pastor is very personable and charismatic. Makes you want to go to Church.
