Was visiting somebody who chose this restaurant. It ended up being a good place to eat for lunch. The tamales were quite good though I wish there had been a little more sauce with them. The prices were reasonable. I love supporting local restaurants. The service was excellent even though I'm pretty sure they were short staffed.

Happened upon Maria’s while visiting a store in downtown Highland. Excellent from scratch meal!!! Ordered a tamale on the side “just to try” and it was ah-mazing! Drove back over when dozens were ready and picked up a dozen and a quart of soup. The chicken & vegetable soup was chock full of both chicken & vegetables and so tasty! Great service and food banter with Maria was a bonus!

Ordered pick up. Food was hot and delicious! Portions are just enough. Not overwhelming but they do not skimp by any means. Most importantly the quality was there. Only gripe is the taco dinner has 2 tacos and not 3. New to this area so maybe it's different here

This place is the real deal. We Came with 4 people and we all ordered 4 different things. No one could find a bad thing to say and infact, we all loved it. Service was also amazing. Expect to pay a little more than you would at a big chain Mexican Restaurants but it's well worth it.
