Lake Arlington

Beautiful suburban park with walk and bike paths that go around the lake, boathouse in the summer and renovated playground for the kids. It states on Google maps that it closes at 7, but you can walk on the path after sunset in the summer.

Beautiful place to go for walks, running, bicycle riding and rollerblading. It's for people of all ages. It does get a chaotic in the summer months when everyone is out and the geese are feeding on the lawn. If you like fishing(probably have to throw back in) and sailing ⛵️ you can do that as well. I've seen teams practice rowing out there for practice. There's a nice park for children to play and adults to stretch after a run. There's a wooden walkway behind the entrance that can walk down to the little sand area to do paddle boating (3-4people). There's ample space to park your car in an open parking lot. The lake is open 7am-11pm. Perfect for those late summer nights.

My kids and I, specially my senior citizen mother, love this place. My mother loves this place when the weather is really nice (summer), because she loves the lake and walk around the lake.

My kids like it here a lot, of course, because of the play ground and they can ride their bike and scooter around the lake. My son loves to play soccer with the other kids in the large open field that has a large hill at the very end of the park. He also loves to fly his drone in this park, because he can fly it over the lake and it is still safe when others are around or near by the park.

Overall, it is an awesome place for both kids and the adults. Plenty to do for everyone and I specially like it in the evening during the sunset, because you can take really nice pictures.

The park is safe and kids friendly and also well maintained by the village. People/kids who come to this place are usually regulars and are friendly. Definitely a nice place to visit several times per week when the weather is nice.

Lake Arlington is a great place to go for a walk or jog in 3 seasons. Clear paved walking path and side for joggers alike are around the entire lake. There is ample free parking as well. They also have a cute little snack shop to have a coffee or light bite. They also have little boats you can take out for a rental fee. There is an abundance of wildlife to see and watch while you’re walking. If you’re trying to get your steps in for the day, this is a nice change of pace from your regular paths!
