JourneyCare Hospice

Having a family member in a hospice facility is pretty depressing, but the level of care provided by the nursing staff was so high that at least I did not need to worry about my family member being neglected. Whenever my husband hit the call button to get help from the nurse, the nurse would come into the room within two minutes. The nurses also seemed to really care about their patients. When the nurse thought that my husband was near death, the nursing staff visited more often and also stayed in the room at the end so that someone was in the room when he took his last breath.

The Celebration of Life procession is when the body is taken out of the hospice facility and loaded into the funeral car. The hospice staff stood along the halls to support the family while the body was being wheeled out. A song chosen by the family was also played during this procession.

We did not use a cot, but you can request a cot if you want to stay overnight in the room. My husband enjoyed seeing the snow covered trees from his bed. There are two french doors with blinds that go all the way down to the floor and a large window by the bed. The room was nicely decorated, spacious and clean. There are two privacy drapes that the nurses pull around the bed when they are performing nursing care for the patient. I can not say enough positive things about this facility. It was a blessing that my husband received such excellent care during the last few days of his life.

The first day our Family brought our Brother to the Facility He was at peace. The Staff is Professional and Caring.

My was at Journey Care for a short time. This place needs more than five stares. The staff was honestly concerned about mom and our family as well. All that gave my mom care were like angels. They even cared for me. I will never forget the celebration of life ceremony . Alyssa was her nurse the day she passed and comforted me as if I were her sister, Journey is a beautiful place for a love one to be cared for. Thank you Robyn and Frank for calling to check on me. The entire staff went out of their way to take exceptional care of our mother as she was dying. They also took very good care of us. We were there virtually 24/7 for the week Mom was at JourneyCare, and everyone from the doctors to the CNAs to the custodial staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and cared for. Everyone said it was an honor to care for our mother, and we believe they meant it, not just lip service.

What incredible care they provided. My mother entered hospice on a Friday and received such wonderful care until her last breath I could not recommend them enough. We received regular updates and and expert knowledge about her changes. The room was large and comfortable with plenty of seating. The staff all partook in a prayer around my mother on the Eve of her death. Family was with her around the clock and they were so accommodating and helpful, I could tell they truly cared for their patients.

I go to this location every morning (it's the only one I like and I've been to many) and ever staff member from the manager down know what I come for, what's even better is they have my beverage made before I get to the counter and pay, and it's always spot on. Every one has been pleasant to me and others even you can tell the staff member is fatigued. I've been there to observe their interactions with other customers and the never falter. So if anyone said they were rude that person was being overly sensitive or was looking to complain about something and they chose them

Small hole in the wall kind of place. Best for a quick stop. There wasn't a drive thru as far as I could tell so take that into consideration when you go there. It's actually inside the gas station so be prepared if it's busy to wait in line and such.

Coffee was just ok, it was a little cold but if it was heated it would've tasted fine. They didn't put enough cream in mine so I had to ask for more.

Employees were really nice though and accommodating.
