Good News in the Neighborhood

We have been going here since their grand opening! We instantly felt a sense of community and God's presence. A few of the many things we love:
-The incredibly talented worship team.
-Our kids love going to the kids room and have a blast.
-Heartfelt sermons I can always connect to my own life.
-No political agenda
We love it here!

I’ve been praying for a church to call home and commit to for a few years now. Good News in the Neighborhood kept popping up in my newsfeed and from the very beginning I have felt God’s love, inclusion, and overall a sense of calm and belonging since becoming a member of this church. Good News offers so many opportunities (in-person + virtually) to stay connected and grow. Anyone and everyone is welcome!

I have experienced a LOT of church in my life over the years.. I’ve been a part of a few good ones but something was still not being completely fulfilled for me. Tried GoodNews awhile back & my very first visit I knew this was home. It actually felt like “home” where you are accepted just as you are. Teaching is phenomenal & the music will get you every time! Can’t recommend enough.

Not just another church building with programs!

I got to meet with Pastor Luke last year. We have known each other for 2 decades and stayed in touch, but hadn't been able to meet up for a while.

He shared how Good News is meant to be more than an awesome worship service, which it is.
How it's more more than great Bible teaching for adults, youth, and kids, which it has.
He shared how it's meant to be more than programs that are there to elevate the organization/church. And it is so much more.

We aim and are working toward engagement with our local community, not to do what's already being done, but to come alongside community programs and people to help. Our four walls don't and won't define Good News in the Neighborhood, how we impact our neighborhood for Christ and with kindness do.

We have an amazing group of diverse people who because we love the Lord love to just love each other and engage with our Palatine community. But also, we who don't live in Palatine, like myself, are present to engage our neighborhoods with the Good News because of the encouragement and community we have with the family at Good News.

I know pastor Luke well and he's the real deal. He wants to love God and serve people. He's got a fresh vision for what the church could be in a local community. If I lived in Chicago, this would be my church. I listen to the sermons each week. Awesome! Keep it up! Looking forward to seeing all the good that God will do through you guys as you seek Him and are obedient to His direction!
