Fred Astaire Dance Studios - Long Grove

I have been taking my class of special education students to Fred Astaire for a couple of years now to participate in a group dance class. They ALWAYS go above and beyond for our students. They make their classes fun, engaging, and the students always look forward to the outing. The staff are patient, positive, and upbeat. It’s always a wonderful time!

Be ready to enter a world of magically fun! Fred Astaire Long Grove is a fantastic dance studio, with world class instructors and amazing staff.

The studio is filled with the atmosphere of classic ballroom and spicy latin. My husband and I have taken lessons for a little over a year. We initially started thinking we'd take a handful of lessons for fun, then after a couple knew that we'd found a weekly date night activity!

Beyond one on one instruction, we also love the group classes, letting us expand into other exercise, including ballet, jazz and the occasionally martial arts class. :)

We quickly learned that dance is for all ages and an awesome workout - but one we barely feel. Whether you may be interested in just a couple classes, learning some moves for the next wedding reception, leaping into learning an open routine like the ones seen on "dancing with the stars" or training with national champions, this studio offers it all.

I love taking dance lessons at this studio. The instructors and students make you feel like family. Along with the friendly atmosphere comes a wealth of knowledge and experience. I have been dancing here since 2005 and there are several more students who started shortly after me who are still here as well. The support I get from everyone encourages me to try things I never thought I could do both on the dance floor and off. No matter if you are looking to become a better social dancer, have a special danced choreographed or looking to compete, I highly recommend this studio.

I can't express how much I love taking dance lessons at this studio. The quality of dance instruction is amazing, with teachers from around the globe who are national and world champions. One of the qualities that make this studio stand out above others, however, is the way they make everyone feel like a part of a big family. You walk in, and everyone calls out "Hi!" and comes over to greet you and chat. The studio is a hub of community of friends where we come to dance, have weekly parties, get lots of exercise (did I mention the great benefits to your body and health?), and just plain laugh and have fun. Some of us go on to compete - we feel like stars from Dancing With the Stars! - and some of us just come to dance socially. I've been coming to this studio since 2007, and many of my original friends are still dancing, too. That's a strong testament to the teachers and management of Fred Astaire. If you're thinking of trying out ballroom, or want a never-to-be-forgotten wedding dance, or if you're just looking for something fun, I highly recommend coming to BG Fred Astaire.
