I really like that he was very upfront from day one and holds up to his and our standards/expectations. My two kids have improved tremendously on their techniques and love the class. Like most people who try new things, you can become very anxious or frustrated with the process. Sol will put your mind at ease and make your journey on the drum kit something you look forward to every day. Even if you are not a beginner like myself, he is extremely capable of teaching professional musicians as well. Along with teaching drums, he is extremely insightful on the music scene, and what it takes to be a successful musician in a band.
He has detailed lesson plans tailored specifically for his students. Sol gives you the technique, and the charisma you need to preserve and further develop your skills all around the kit. He can pick up the pace of lesson plans, or dial things back and focus on things you may really need help with. The man is extremely passionate about his craft, and his students. You will be hard pressed to find a better experience for learning the drums, than with Sol. -

I see him once a week, and in the span of about a year, I've gone from knowing nothing about the drums to a novice level of skill that I'm very happy with and excited to continue to nurture. He's very encouraging while also being a fun, and the teaching materials he provides are very helpful for at home practice solo. Would 1000% recommend!

(June 8, 2022, 1:43 pm)He is very caring and patient! My daughter is 10 years old and had never touched a piano prior to her lessons. She is now able to play several songs by memory and is able to sight read a bit! He is fair and honest, a great instructor. We have been taking our daughter to him for the last 7 months but it feels like shes been playing piano for years thanks to his guidance. I highly recommend him.

(March 28, 2022, 6:43 pm)I can confidently say Sol is not only an incredible piano instructor, but is one of the best teachers I’ve ever had in my life, period! I decided to start learning the piano as an adult beginner and I’ve been working with Sol for about 8 months. Sol is an expert in so many ways - not only is he extremely knowledgeable about the piano, he is patient, explains things clearly, makes learning engaging, and is overall just an expert teacher. When I’ve wanted to learn a particular song or learn a particular skill, he’s always found a way to work in my interests and help me pursue my personal goals with piano. He takes the whole student into account and will talk you through deeper issues you may have on your mind as a musician, like confidence, concerns about your progress, or performance anxiety. He works in anecdotes on things like the meaning of music and what it means to be a musician, all of which have taught me so much. His lessons are challenging but also so fun and enjoyable - I never leave without having had a good laugh. I’ve seen him in passing with his younger students, and he seems like he’s great with the kids. Overall, if you want to learn piano or have a child who you want to enroll in lessons, you want to get them from Sol.
