Stayed here the summer of 2022 when I was a travel nurse in Sandwich, MI. Beautiful little place, peaceful and friendly!

Beautiful campground right on the water, staff was very responsive to any issues we were having, will definitely be back because of it!

Had an AMAZING time here! Owner was great and extremely nice and helpful! The kids had a blast running around and fishing in the river. Will definitely be back! Only downside was no water/electric for campsites, but we have a generator and water jugs for that!

I cannot say enough good things about Deer Creek Campground and Candy who was running the place! We moved to this campsite with a group of 12 after another site proved to be the wrong choice. Candy was so accommodating as she showed us around to every site she had available. She allowed us to pick whichever site we wanted and we ended up with a huge open field with a beautiful forest behind us and the fox river right in front of us! We enjoyed swimming in the river and even got to see a beaver! Candy was just the right amount of attentive making sure we had everything we needed but also left us to ourselves to enjoy our time there. She provided us with two 40 stacks of wood for a great price and included some cool color changing flame packs which the kids loved! The porta-potty was very well kept which was much appreciated. She also filled us in on all of the great spots we could go tubing and how to end up back at our site. We thought our camping trip was ruined after the first site didn’t work out but Candy and the Deer Creek Campground saved our weekend! It was such a pleasurable experience and we can’t wait to plan another trip there!!

Great campgrounds with acceptable portapotty. Close enough to amenities in town but private enough to relax and enjoy nature. Our site had a fire pit and picnic table, and the 7 of us had a lovely weekend. It looks like a large grounds with sites in the woods or along the river.

Candy was a great host and recommended we drive up river with our own tubes and float back to camp which was the right move.
They had a wonderful 4th of July fireworks and bonfire celebration to cap the night.

Highly recommended as this is such an easy drive from Chicago & suburbs.
