Day & Night Movers of Chicago, Inc.

I was notified of Day and Night Movers from a moving broker company. They were very responsive when it came to them picking up my belongings, and I learned a lot about how to pack (particularly, use boxes and not bags). They were quick, and very professional when it came to them moving my things. It does take a little bit of time for them to get your things to you (in my case, I moved from Illinois to Texas), so expect it to take longer rather than shorter. Eventually, though, I received my belongings in great condition, and the movers were very nice and accommodating. I would happily use them again.

These guys did a great job! They arrived ontime (appreciated the call 20mins out). They were quick and wrapped everything we needed wrapped. The quote was fairly close, we ended up going over the 3 hrs but it was mostly due to all the stairs. The stairs were very tiring for everyone and they never once gave me attitude about them. And our furniture is heavy:( They were all very pleasant and professional with us at all times. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Picked “Day and Night” because they had comparable pricing, but more importantly, they were available on the date I wanted which was about a week out.

Pricing - They charged me $120 truck fee, and $120/hr for 3 guys with a minimum charge of 3 hours. Also, any packing material used they charge you. They used what I had, but it wasn’t enough. I kept some of their moving blankets for convenience which were $15 a piece. There’s a 3.8% fee if you pay with a card.

Job performance
They gave me an arrival time between 8-10 am with a 30 min call before arrival. They arrived just after 10, which isn’t terrible, just had me nervous until I got their call. 3 guys showed up, I pointed out what I needed moved. They worked quickly, efficiently, and no complaints. Just got it done. Even needed to add in a quick stop to drop off some items at a separate location. Job was done in just under 3 hours which was nice compared to the 6 they anticipated it’d take. Signed some paperwork, paid, and gave the guys a nice tip. This is not an easy job that they do. I plan on using them to move my items from my storage unit to my new house.
