Centennial Park

Very pretty park. And good place to take your furry little friend as they are welcome on the beach.
A pretty place to come and sit down and enjoy the horizon.

The park part of this spot is nice, you aren't supposed to park in the parking lot if you aren't a local but very easy street parking on Elder Lane, just like a 3 minute walk away. I've been there a couple of times and gone swimming/seen other people swimming because it's a nice beach and a lot of times the gate isn't locked. For some reason, there aren't really any signs saying it is a private beach, maybe that's technically illegal somehow. It seems like on the weekend swimming is a more regular occurrence. A lot of people who live around here are not very pleasant to be around, of course, money changes everything. You'll seem them in the reviews here proudly getting out the word that this is a "private" beach

Awesome place to go swimming or just enjoy a walk on the beach. The views are amazing and the water is beautiful. This is one of my favorite beaches to visit in the summer. Also if you have a dog there is also a dog park where you can bring your furry friend.

One of the most beautiful parks in all of illinois. Enjoy the lake view, cool breezes and beautiful mansions!

Well maintained little park. Lots of dogs as it has a dog beach. It is quiet though so a nice place to picnic or read. The human park is just a bit farther north if you prefer.
