Campanella Children's Choir & Educational Center

My daughter is going to Campanella Children's Choir for a year now and it's a great place for kids. They have other activities such as Art History, Art and sculpture, etc. But the Choir by itself is a very interesting activity! Kids sing, learn how to breath properly, how to perform up front of people. Even if the kid is very shy (like mine) - she got used to the stage and people watching :). The teacher, Marianna, is wonderful, loving and cares about each little person in her class. My highest recommendation for the Choir as well as Art History and Art Classes.

My granddaughters have being going to Campanella Children's Choir since 2011. They have other activities too, but Campanella Children's Choir by far is the most interesting and interactive activity. Both granddaughters were too shy to perform in front of large audience, but since they started singing in a choir and later solo, they are no longer shy when they have recitals. The outstanding knowledge and outmost care and support for each child from director of Campanella Children's Choir, Marina Kosaya, really what makes us come to every recital and participate in different festivals.

My daughter has enjoyed singing since a very early age. Her daycare teacher noticed this and recommended us to join the Campanella choir. What a great idea! Every time after practice my daughter would joyfully sing in the car. And after 5 years of attending, the happy feeling is always there after each practice. Singing is a wonderful way to explore harmony and beauty. The choir's director Marianna Kosaya has perfect taste and is very well qualified to guide children through the learning process. The repertoire is oriented to classical music, but is age appropriate with some funny songs for the younger kids. The school also offers other classes. My daughter attends the class on Music Theory (solfege) which I find to be very useful. Another great class is art, where they produce beautiful paintings. At the end of each semester, kids have an opportunity to perform for friends and family. This concert differs from usual practice by having professionally trained musicians in addition to the piano accompanist.
It is never too late - there is a group for adult singers too!

We have been members of Campanella Choir for 4 years. My daughter loves her choir and private singing lessons. Staff is very creative, talented and dedicated. Each performance is a work of art complete with signing, acting, and art created by students. Kids get to perform at various competitions and events through out Chicago Land. School puts a lot of effort into expanding kids' exposure to arts by organizing trips to Lyric Opera, CSO, and other musical events. Love the school and would gladly recommend it!

I highly recommend this educational center to all the families in the area. Along with art, math, and language classes that are offered, there are several levels of chorus program that are very well taught and organized. The artistic director loves children and finds an individual approach to any kid. My 5 year old daughter started singing there when she was 4 and she is always eager to go to class. If your child likes to sing - it is definitely the place to do it.
