Beck Lake Off-Leash Dog Area

Broke down twice, talked to Julius, even FaceTimed him to get me rolling so I could make it there.

Carlee and Nicole are amazing! We recently purchased two 16 ft box trucks to deliver our recycled auto parts and Carlee and Nicole helped us select low mileage/late model trucks. I went to Penske looking to buy a box truck for a new business i started. Carlee was the first person i meet and she helped me tremendously. She really was instrumental in this whole process and made it easy to make the decision to purchase a unit from Penske. I will definitely be back to buy more units and definitely spread the word about Penske and its commercial vehicles and quality staff.

The park is great for dogs. There's a lake for hot days, an open area where dogs play together, and trails to practice off leash commands. I find that the dogs who go here are better behaved than other FPCC parks as well. It's our dogs' favorite dog park.

The only downside to this park is that the owners and workers here aren't as friendly with minorities as other parks. A park worker confronted us about our dogs because we brought some family members to see the park as they were considering getting a puppy. We only had our two dogs with us, both who are registered, and even after showing my pass, assuring the worker our pass accounted for both dogs, they kept pressing us and following us around the park.

We've also had other parkgoers accuse us of strange things like stealing a water bowl (it was ours) and not picking up after our dog (we did). As well as other, less noteworthy incidents where the owners have been passive aggressive with us. So if you are Latino or from another minority group, just be aware that you may experience some microagressions here.

Penske Chicago Ridge is by far the best place to do business. I have bought over 30 trucks from Penske over the years from multiple locations yet this one sticks out of the crowd. Their professionalism and consideration to the customer is second to none. I highly recommend doing your business here. Make sure to ask for Carlee! She is the absolute best!

This place is massive! It's also very well kept. You enter at a large grassy area, with a large pond, a pavilion and some picnic tables. From there you can check out some marshy area on the right, or head to the left where there's another broad open grassy area. There are small trails that lead to more meadow-like, grassy areas with trees, with small groves with just grass, picnic tables and doggy poop bag stations dispersed throughout. I went on a weekday so there were only a handful of dogs. A lovely place that im looking forward to spending more time at! My pup loved it too.

This is our second truck purchased through Penske using Bill as our sales rep. Bill is incredibly thorough and the communication was nothing short of fantastic.

Amazing park, lots of space for dogs to run as much as they want. Mostly clean, some people try to sneak inside, but please stop, you need a health certificate, that's how we feel safe letting our dogs in there and almost to incidents happens inside.

UPDATE: My dog sliced open one of his paws while swimming in the pond. This is the second time in 12 months that he's cut himself on something. I don't know what he's cutting it on in the water but I will be sure to be extra careful next time.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is a giant park. Room for your dog to run forever. Just know that if the ground is not frozen that your dog will get muddy. Also, if you have a water dog (I have a Lab), there is a pond that will be irresistible to them. My dog loves this place.
